CEB grows corporate, government accounts sales revenue by 27%

Cebu Pacific Offers 50% off international seat sale

The Philippines’ largest national flag carrier, Cebu Pacific’s (PSE:CEB) corporate and government accounts sales revenue increased by 27% in 2011, compared to 2010.

“CEB operates the largest network in the Philippines and to the rest of Asia, and its corporate and government accounts get to book CEB’s trademark lowest fares themselves. This easy access, along with other CEB BIZ incentives, suits the needs of companies with a lot of travel needs,” said CEB VP for Marketing and Distribution Candice Iyog.

Routes Online, the airline industry’s central source of market data and route development information, recently stated that CEB is the largest carrier in the domestic Filipino market. “[It offers]… almost twice as many internal flights per week than its rivals and accounting for a 41.3 per cent share of the domestic capacity.”

“This gives our CEB BIZ accounts the added advantage of the fastest direct flights, on top of our trademark low fares and seat sales,” Iyog added.

CEB’s Corporate & Government Sales team (CEB BIZ) is open to private corporations and government offices based in the Philippines. It currently provides access to CEB’s online booking facilities to a base of approximately 500 accounts. The thrice weekly Kalibo-Hong Kong service is CEB’s first direct international route to and from Kalibo International Airport, gateway to the world-renowned Boracay Island. Utilizing one of CEB’s brand-new Airbus jet aircraft, the flight is set to depart Kalibo at 2:35pm and arrive in Hong Kong at 5:05pm. The airline will add extra Manila-Taipei-Manila and Manila-Kalibo-Manila flights in time for Chinese New Year, from January 21 to 30, 2012.

CEBU Pacific Promo: Goes double daily to Kuala Lumpur.

The Philippines’ largest national flag carrier, Cebu Pacific (PSE:CEB) adds four more weekly flights to its direct Manila-Kuala Lumpur service, making it double daily starting January 8, 2012.

CEB currently operates a daily service that leaves Manila at 8:55pm, and a Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday service that leaves Manila at 10:10am.

The additional four times weekly Manila-Kuala Lumpur-Manila flights will depart Manila at 2:00pm every Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday. The return flight will depart Kuala Lumpur at 6:30pm.

“We are happy to finally increase our flight frequencies to Kuala Lumpur, given the strong demand for direct flights from Manila, not Clark which is two hours away. The Philippines’ largest national flag carrier, Cebu Pacific (PSE:CEB) takes the delivery of four more brand-new aircraft in the last four months of 2011. Three CEB A320 aircraft are scheduled to be delivered from September to October, while another aircraft is scheduled to arrive in December 2011.

“We are very excited to accept delivery of more brand-new planes, since these will be used to add flight frequencies and destinations for the benefit of the traveling public. It also affirms CEB’s continued commitment to give even more people the chance to travel by air, and to boost tourism and trade in all its destinations,” said CEB VP for Marketing and Distribution Candice Iyog.

CEBU PACIFIC is scheduled to add flights from Manila to Davao (7 to 8 times daily), Tacloban (4 to 5 times daily), Boracay (13 to 14 times daily), Dumaguete (2 to 3 times daily), Naga (3 to 4 times daily) and Cagayan de Oro (6 to 7 times daily), among others.

“We will also launch a new destination, Tawi-Tawi, on October 14, with the start of our Zamboanga to Tawi-Tawi flights. A Cagayan de Oro-Iloilo route will also be inaugurated on the same day. Both these routes will definitely increase access to these key trade and tourism centers in the country,” Iyog added.

The airline also announced earlier that it has ordered 30 new Airbus A321neo and 7 A320 aircraft. The order at list price is valued at approximately USD3.8 billion, the largest single aircraft order ever made by a Philippine carrier. The A321neos will be a first of its type to operate in the Philippines, being a larger and longer-haul version of the familiar Airbus A320.

The said orders for A320 and A321neo aircraft will be delivered between 2015 and 2021. These are on top of firm orders for 18 Airbus A320 aircraft to be delivered from the 2nd half of 2011 until 2014.

It is also scheduled to take delivery of 2 Airbus A320 aircraft on operating lease agreements in 2012.

Cebu Pacific: The Philippines’ number one airline, Cebu Pacific (PSE:CEB) announced that it will offer high-paying jobs to key positions, as it moves forward with its expansion plans in Asia.

In the airline’s biggest recruitment campaign to date, CEB aims to hire 75 Airbus and ATR pilots, 200 cabin crew, 10 mechanics and engineers, and 20 ground support crew in the various fields of cargo, airport services, accounting, information systems and human resources.

“It is an exciting and fun time for the airline, as it proceeds with its expansion plans and takes delivery of 20 more brand-new Airbus A320 aircraft from 2011-2014. We look forward to welcoming more people into the Cebu Pacific family,” said CEB VP for Marketing and Distribution Candice Iyog.

Cebu Pacific Expands Flight Operations by 18% in 2011

The Philippines’ largest national flag carrier, Cebu Pacific (PSE:CEB) plans to increase flight frequencies by 18% in 2011, making available a total of 14.5 million airline seats for its passengers.

“We aim to fly 12 million passengers in 2011, an 18% increase from last year’s targets. Internationally, we plan to grow our passenger base by 35%,” said CEB VP for Marketing and Distribution Candice Iyog.

The airline said it is factoring in an expected 20% increase in passengers to Greater China, where it flies to Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Taipei, Macau and Hong Kong. CEB currently flies 80 flights weekly from the Philippines to Greater China.

Iyog added, “We have also just recently announced the beginning of CEB’s Manila-Busan operations this June. We already fly to South Korea’s 2nd largest city from Cebu, and this new route will allow more tourism and business between the two countries.”

She said that the number of flights to Beijing and Guangzhou will also be increased this year to accommodate passenger demand.

CEB has already added flights to Hong Kong, Kuala Lumpur, Brunei, Singapore, Ho Chi Minh and Jakarta last December. It is slated to increase flight frequencies to Seoul (Incheon) and Bangkok in the first quarter this year.

“We are expecting the delivery of our 25th brand-new Airbus A320 aircraft in the last week of January, and four more brand-new aircraft in 2011,” she added.

By the end of 2011, CEB will be operating a fleet of 37 aircraft – with an average age of less than 2.5 years – one of the most modern aircraft fleets in the world. Between 2012 and 2014, Cebu Pacific will take an additional 16 Airbus A320 aircraft.

Cebu Pacific (CEB) will be upgrading its host reservation system from Navitaire 1.3 to Navitaire 3.1 on March 2, 2010.

Starting March 1, 6pm until March 2, 2am, passengers will be unable to book online or make changes to their bookings. Those who wish to take Cebu Pacific flights during the downtime period can proceed to the airport and purchase their tickets before their flights.

The airline also encourages passengers traveling during the downtime to secure their tickets ahead of time.

Cebu Pacific hopes for the understanding and patience of its guests, since the upgrade will provide better service to Cebu Pacific’s growing number of passengers.
